Water Activity on Mars: Young Fluvial Channels in Margaritifer Terra | NASA MRO

Water Activity on Mars: Young Fluvial Channels in Margaritifer Terra | NASA MRO

Margaritifer Terra is the most impressive water-modified landscape on Mars that preserves the highest density of valley networks on the planet.

Black and white images are less than 5 km across.

The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) captured these images.

MRO is led by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), which is a division of Caltech in Pasadena, California.
