Waning gibbous Moon above Earth’s atmosphere | International Space Station

The waning gibbous Moon appears above Earth’s blue atmosphere in this image taken from the International Space Station while orbiting 258 miles above the coast of Hong Kong, China.

The waning gibbous intermediate Moon phase starts after the Full Moon and lasts until half of the Moon’s face remains lit up at the Third Quarter.
