China Long March 4B Rocket Launches Six Yaogan Earth Observation Satellites

Six new Yaogan remote sensing satellites were added to low Earth orbit by a China Long March 4B rocket departing from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on September 10, 2026, at 17:00 pm China Standard Time (09:00 am Universal Coordinated Time). All six Earth observation satellites were developed by the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST).

In low Earth orbit, the six new remote sensing satellites will support agricultural yield estimation, land and resource census, disaster prevention planning efforts, and scientific experiments. 

This launch was the 58th mission for the Long March 4B, the 119th launch of the Long March 4 series, the 275th Long March vehicle from the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology, and the 666th launch of the Long March launch vehicle series. It was also the 62nd launch from China in 2026.
