"Don't Worry: Space has Mac & Cheese" | NASA Artemis II Moon Mission

"Don't Worry: Space has Mac & Cheese" NASA Artemis II Moon Mission

Food aboard NASA's Orion spacecraft must be easy to prepare and consume in microgravity, minimize crumbs, and remain safe and stable throughout the mission. The Artemis II crew provided input well before the meals were packed for their test flight.

NASA astronaut and Artemis II commander Reid Wiseman, NASA astronaut and mission specialist Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut and mission specialist Jeremy Hansen, present examples of food choices available to the crew.

NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket carrying the Orion spacecraft with NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, commander; Victor Glover, pilot; Christina Koch, mission specialist; and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Jeremy Hansen, mission specialist onboard, was successfully launched on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, for the Artemis II Mission from Launch Complex 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

NASA’s Artemis II Mission is taking Wiseman, Glover, Koch, and Hansen on a 10-day journey around the Moon and back aboard their Orion spacecraft.
