This Week at Roscosmos—Russia's Space Agency: Aist-2T, Crew-12 & Board Meetin

This Week at Roscosmos—Russia's Space Agency: Aist-2T, Crew-12 & Board Meeting

▪️ A meeting of the Roscosmos Supervisory Board was held at the National Space Center named after the world's first female cosmonaut, Vera Tereshkova.

▪️ Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyayev returned from the ISS on the Crew Dragon spacecraft.

▪️ Roscosmos and Rostec presented the first 3D images of Earth from the Aist-2T satellites

Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyayev successfully splashed down in the Pacific Ocean with his fellow crew members as part of NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 on October 8, 2026. He completed 237 days at the International Space Station. Fedyayev has visited the International Space Station twice on a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft.

Roscosmos cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov accepted command of the International Space Station from NASA astronaut Jessica Meir as part of the Expedition 75 Mission after a ceremony on Sunday, October 4.

The Aist (Russian: Аист, meaning "Stork") satellites are a series of Russian microsatellites developed primarily by students, postgraduates, and researchers at Samara National Research University (formerly Samara State Aerospace University, SGAU) in collaboration with TsSKB-Progress (now part of Roscosmos).

Spektr-RG (Спектр-РГ), also called Spectrum-X-Gamma, SRG and SXG, is a Russian–German high-energy astrophysics space observatory launched in 2019. The spacecraft entered an orbit around the Sun, circling the Sun-Earth L2 Lagrangian point in a halo orbit, about 1.5 million kilometers away from Earth. The primary instrument of the mission is eROSITA, built by the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE) in Germany. It is designed to conduct a seven-year x-ray survey, the first in the medium x-ray band less than 10 keV energies, and the first to map an estimated 100,000 galaxy clusters. This survey may detect new clusters of galaxies and active galactic nuclei. The second instrument, ART-XC, is a Russian high-energy x-ray telescope capable of detecting supermassive black holes.
