China Landspace Kinetica-1 Y11 Commercial Launch of UAE & Rideshare Satellites
Landspace update: "The ride-sharing flight of Y11, 'Create the Future', sets Kinetica-1's launch record with 84 satellites delivered, totaling over 11 tonnes. Our space pros are thrilled to bring together industry leaders, new startups, and young talent from around the globe."
A Kinetica-1 (Lijian-1) Y11 rocket blasted off at 12:03 p.m. Beijing Time on Dec. 10, 2025, from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone near the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center (JSLC) in northwest China. The launch sent nine satellites into orbit, including one from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Arab Satellite 813 is the region’s first hyperspectral satellite. Developed at the National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) at UAE University, its advanced technology allows for highly detailed monitoring of the Earth’s surface, supporting applications in agriculture, environmental protection, resource management, climate analysis, and urban development across the Arab world.
The nine satellites launched by Kinetica-1 Y11 are:
Arab Satellite 813 (🇦🇪 260kg)
Jilin-1 Gaofen 07B01/07C01/07D01
Dongpo-15 (X-band SAR, 40mN hall effect thruster)
Yuxing-2 09
Yixian-A
SPNEX (🇪🇬)
Slippers2Sat (🇳🇵 1U)
CAS Space is a Chinese commercial space launch provider based in Guangzhou, the capital and largest city of Guangdong province in southern China. CAS Space was founded in 2018 and is majority owned by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
The Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center (JSLC) was founded in 1958. It was the first of China's four spaceports. The launch center has been the focus of many of China's historic space ventures, including the country's first satellite Dong Fang Hong I in 1970 and their first crewed space mission, Shenzhou V, on October 15, 2003. JSLC is now a home for many new Chinese commercial space launch firms, like CAS Space.
