NASA Astronaut Chris Williams Returns to Houston | Johnson Space Center

NASA astronaut Chris Williams returned to Earth on Sunday, July 26, 2026, concluding an eight-month science mission aboard the International Space Station. After the Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft landed in Kazakhstan, Williams boarded a NASA Gulfstream V that took him back to Ellington Field in Houston, Texas. His flight landed in Houston, Texas, on Monday, July 27. As he stepped off the plane, he was greeted by NASA leadership, family, and his fellow astronauts. On his first mission, Williams spent 241 days in space, orbiting the Earth 3,856 times and traveling more than 102 million miles.
